Our History
As a group of believers we began meeting on September 17th, 2025, as a Bible study held on Wednesday nights. The Lord provided a free space in the Raton Intermediate School’s Special Education classroom where we met for the first month of Bible studies. In the events leading up to the beginning of our Bible study, we saw seven converts saved in the space of two months with a few asking for a Bible Study. Rochelle and I, after receiving Godly counsel from a few different men, decided to step out in faith to start a King James Bible believing, old fashioned preaching, hymnal using church in the city of Raton, NM. After only two weeks of Wednesday night Bible studies, we decided to begin Sunday services to answer the needs of our new converts. On October 5th, The Lord provided a small white chapel church for our use that had its doors closed for 1.5 years, and our only expense was the utility costs. On October 24th, four charter members voted in the Raton Bible Church with Sunday morning and Wednesday night services beginning on November 2nd, 2025, when we watched as the Lord brought in 26 people, and over 20 which would continue to attend.

It's been a blessing to watch the Lord work wonderfully in our humble beginnings. Little is much, when God is in it!

Pastor Bryan Jones
Pastor Bryan Jones was hit with a real need for Jesus Christ in his life in 2017 after he exited the U.S. Army after 13 years of service. It was during this time where he realized that Jesus Christ was the only one who could help him through the darkest time in his life. In the fall of 2020, Pastor Bryan was born again when he trusted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 35 in his house while reading the King James Bible. It was during this time that the Lord showed him the assurance of eternal salvation, the authority of the word of God found in the King James Bible, and the absolute need to reach a dark and dying world with the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Bryan earned his Bachelor of Divinity Degree from The Bible Doctrine Institute where he graduated in the fall of 2024. Since his new birth, he has served as deacon and a youth pastor while growing "in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ..." (2 Peter 3:18). In the summer of 2025, after a growing and heavy burden for the people of Raton, NM, The Lord called Pastor Bryan to start the Raton Bible Church.

Together, with his faithful wife Rochelle, and their two lovely children, they seek to establish a sanctuary from the world for the people of Raton that will continue well into the future until the return of Jesus Christ.
